I love you so much, baby, I'm proud of you and the kind heart you have and the quick mind and even the flashy temper. You have NO trouble sticking up for yourself most of the time, that's for sure. Sometimes I wonder whose girl you are! I was quiet, sweet, sensitive, introverted, a book worm, didn't like the public or noise or groups or social settings, couldn't even order food in a restaurant without heart palpitations and serious concentration. And then there's you. My beautiful, sweet, fiery opposite! You like books but you can take them or leave them. You LOVE to go to the mall and the more people and the bigger the crowds, the better. It ramps you up and makes you so excited. You have no trouble making friends, in minutes, and are neither quiet nor shy. And you've been ordering your own meals in restaurants for almost 3 years now. Of course that was my doing. ;) Waitresses and waiters STILL blink when they ask ME what you want and I look to you and you order for yourself perfectly clearly and politely. You should have seen their shock when you'd do it at age 2. lol I think as a mom I want you to be strong where I was weak, but honey, I also want you to be strong where I was strong. Books are good! ;) Standing up for yourself is a crucial lesson--but so is a gentle heart, compassion and empathy. I pray that I can help you in the right way with all of those things--both the things I stink at and the things I am good at. You're not even 5 years old yet but you already amaze me... But reading your page brought so much tears to my eyes. I'm currently 19 and pursuing a degree in Business Administration in Canada, and I have to say, for a girl who loves to play with children at Sunday School and to chase them around, it's heartbreaking for me to see them even catch a cold or have chicken pox, but for a mother--gosh, a mother-- to go through 3 deaths before having a healthy child like you, that's so touching in a painful way. But praise the Lord, your prayers have been answered. May the Lord bless Kaylee--and continue to watch over Devon and Sidney in the heavens.
